Nate Berkus -A Pop of Color

Even though I love the use of dramatic neutrals in most of my projects, I admire how Nate Berkus throws a splash of color into his rooms to add style and sophistication to any room. Nate has a unique way of implementing color into a chair, side table, or covering damaged hardwood flooring while keeping a sense balance throughout the rest of the room. My personal favorite is adding a pop of color to the back of bookshelves as seen in this living room.

Summer arrangements

I loved the gorgeous purple color of baby eggplants and created these arrangements for a summer party.

Nature of Purple:
Purple has a special, almost sacred place in nature: lavender, orchid, lilac, and violet flowers are often delicate and considered precious. Because purple is derived from the mixing of a strong warm and strong cool color it has both warm and cool properties. A purple room can boost a child's imagination or an artist's creativity. Too much purple, like blue, could result in moodiness.

Fabulous Accessories

I was so inspired the other day when I found these fun summer accessories to enhance any table or sunroom.
